What's The Use

from Round of Sound by Max Feinstein

about

Reflections in 2019:

The beginning of this song and of the record sees me grumbling about not being able to play my own riff. I thought it was cute. The record is a time capsule of my ideas and experimentations of the time and this song shows me considering rhythmic breaks during the verse and dueling guitar solos with myself. Not a bad offering. Round of Sound was largely recorded by Johnny and myself with moi performing bass duties for the sake of efficiency and perhaps boneheaded perceptions of consistency, but I think this set the stage solidly.

lyrics

I got no reason I should pray for the pain I have to go away
Cos I could pray til I turn blue it's nothing without followthrough
I got no reason I should pray

If in this life I should go blind I would gladly leave my sight behind
The darkness will not hinder me from loving what I can not see
If in this life I should go blind

Honesty is tried and true and a life of lies is proven too
Both will leave you scared and lost, cold, alone upon the cross, and there's nothing you can do

Yeah, I'm falling off the track and nothing's gonna stop me, never going back again. What's the use?
In saying I'm falling off the track and nothing's gonna stop me, never going back again. What's the use?
